We just love flowers. The flower industry is a £100 billion global business and Britain is the world’s third largest buyer of cut flowers. Nearly all of the flowers we buy are from abroad and it’s the Dutch, the world’s most advanced flower producer who control the market. But there’s a chink in the Dutch armour and the Brits are fighting back. Our own humble British flowers and enterprising British florists are on a roll – the Dutch aren’t having it all their own way!
